Brandon advises on a diverse range of cross-border M&A transactions, joint ventures and foreign investment, with a particular focus on the consumer, fintech and TMT (digital asset) sectors. He is fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and has experience living and working in Indonesia since 2008.

• Inchcape on the signing of its deal with Mercedes-Benz to acquire its manufacturing and distribution business in Indonesia
• a major shareholder on the US$18 billion Tokopedia/GoJek mega-merger in Indonesia
• Alibaba and Ant Financial on various investments in Indonesia
• ABB in relation to the Indonesian component of a global restructuring of ABB’s power grids business, including advising on transaction documentation, establishment of new local entity, transfer of employees, contracts and assets
• Elsewedy Group in relation to its first proposed investment in Indonesia in the electrical components manufacturing sector
• Asahi on (a) its strategic Indonesian beverage joint venture with Indofood (an affiliate of Salim Group, one of Indonesia’s largest conglomerates); (b) the structuring aspects of the Pepsi/Salim bottling joint venture; and (c) the structuring aspects of its acquisition of a bottled water business in Indonesia
• Mars group on its internal restructuring involving Indonesian subsidiaries
• Mars group’s Indonesian subsidiaries (Royal Canin, Wrigley and Mars Symbioscience) in relation to the legal and regulatory aspects of their business operations in Indonesia and general regulatory compliance with Indonesian laws
• Northstar on its strategic investment in an Indonesian healthcare sector business and divestment of its securities business
